The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with the Ministry of National Food Security and Research Islamabad is arranging a "National Consultation on Livestock Development in Pakistan-Way Forward" on January 6 and 7. Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Sardar Sikandar Hayat Bosan will preside over the inaugural and concluding sessions of the consultation meeting.Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Federal Secretary for National Food Security and Research and all the four provincial livestock secretaries, stakeholders and experts will attend the two-day consultations and discussions. The area-specific-discussion sessions will be held on dairy, meat, poultry and animal health. Representatives and stakeholders will put forth suggestions and recommendations on major challenges faced by the livestock sector.
