Dusheri Mangoes response to Pruning

Dusheri Mangoes response to Pruning....a demo at neighboring large scale mango farmers..
(Early and mid season varieties in Punjab give excellent response to pruning and mid season varieties also give good response. what is critical, the grower should not delay for pruning after harvesting------- early take up of activity after harvesting leads to good fruiting for next year. small sized trees are highly unsuitable in Punjab the tree size should be 18-22 feet to remain safe from the chilled winter in Punjab.

decision to harvest Sindhri Mango fruit..

take wise decision to harvest Sindhri Mango fruit...again there r two maturity levels "Sea Shipments" and "Air Shipments"....which one is good for sea shipment and air shipment.....later on I'll come to brix levels....external charachertistics, internal pulp color "chart to be followed"..and third is brix level.....There fruit were harvested from the same mango tree "same date & same time" and just look at the variations....so be good at harvest "harvest proper mature fruits atleast minimum two times from the tree in special cases 3 times" Just imagine where contractors used to harvest these fruits in one go & so early what will be the result?..........think about it.....haven't mentioned other factors....just the fruit & it's maturity....and the outcomes....

Mango phenological growth cycle

In Pakistan, Mango Export Via Sea have become a serious challenge....Pakistani mangoes so far are not meeting to quality standards of the higher end value retail super markets of the world.....and fetching the lowest price/kg....Out of 18,00,000 tons..only 1,43,000 tons being exported to Dubai, Saudi Arabia (Middle East), UK (low end markets) etc.....Answer to all problems/issues that Pakistani mangoes are facing is very much related with Mango growth cycle and some other factors mentioned on this poster....when we'll sort them out?....where are the hindrances? Is there any way out?

Mango Certified Nurseries..

Step-1): Mango Certified Nurseries..... Unfortunately there is not any single of it in Pakistan......

I suggest a certified nursery project needs to be built around the certification system that ensures plants are free from specific disease and pests and the variety and rootstock are true to the name specified on the label.
The project should establish processes for importing and maintaining disease free material in to the nursery, and a method of monitoring the disease status of the trees in the nursery.
In your given areas for investment I have the following comments:
1 - there are many polyembryonic varieties already existing in Pakistan that could be trailed for rootstocks. It is more important for a certified nursery to have parent trees growing in a clean situation so seed can be accessed locally. When using imported seed for routing generation of rootstocks it is difficult to guarantee the variety or their disease status.
2 - Some potting mixes have been tested but results so far are not encouraging. You should try these formulas to standardized it before importing mix
