The Punjab Agriculture Minister Dr Farrukh Javed has announced a reduction of Rs 100 per wheat seed bag being provided by the Punjab Seed Corporation (PSC). He said that this reduction is being announced on the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif as a part of his pro-agriculture and farmer friendly policies. He urged the growers not to forget this concession while buying PSC Shahzore wheat seed.The Minister made this announcement at a press conference held at Pakpattan, said a hand out issued here. Dr Farrukh Javed said that present government was farmer friendly and always ready to protect the rights of the growers. He said that the government would soon give more good news to growers.
The Minister said that he was visiting whole of the province for having a direct contact with the farmers and pay tribute to their hard work. He directed the PSC Deputy Managing Director and Director Marketing to immediately pass on the information of reduction in wheat seed bag prices to all the sale points and dealers. He warned that any body found involved in black marketing would be dealt with an iron hand according to the law.
