2015 Dean’s Scholarships for Academic and Clinical Excellence at City University London, UK

The School of Health Sciences of City University London is offering dean’s scholarships for UK, EU and International students with a profile of academic and clinical excellence. Scholarships are awarded for one of MSc Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care courses in the October or January intake. To qualify for Dean’s Scholarship, applicants must be a self-funded student and not in receipt of any other scholarships. The scholarship amount is a total of £2,500 for both full-time and part-time students. The application deadline for January is 19th December 2014 and for September is 28th August 2015.

Eligibility: To qualify for The Dean’s Scholarship, applicants must:
-be a self-funded student and not in receipt of any other scholarships;
-be a full or part time student;
-be in your first year of postgraduate study for the October or January intake on any one of the routes of the MSc Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care course;
-demonstrate academic and clinical excellence and a commitment to advancing your clinical and academic skills.

Scholarship Description: City University LondonAt City University London they believe that exceptional academic and clinical performance should be recognized and rewarded. The School of Health Sciences at City is offering up to 12 scholarships of £2,500 to UK, EU and International postgraduate students with a profile of academic and clinical excellence starting one of our MSc Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care courses at City in the October or January intake. The award will be granted strictly on merit after a shortlist and selection process. The decisions will be made by a selection panel and will be final.
Number of award(s): Up to 12 scholarships are awarded.
Duration of award(s): The total amount will be waived off the fee at the start of the academic year for full-time students, and half of the amount will be waived off the fee for part-time students in the first and second years of study.
What does it cover? The Scholarship amount is a total of £2,500 for both full-time and part-time students.
Selection Criteria: The award will be granted strictly on merit after a shortlist and selection process.
How to Apply: Applicants need to apply by writing a statement (of up to 800 words in length) explaining why they believe they should be awarded the scholarship, why they want to do the course and how they will use it to shape their future career. Please include a word count. Applicants can upload the statement as a supplementary document in their online application, or email it to Programme Administration team at healthprofessionals-at-city.ac.uk if applicants have already applied. Please state applicants full name and student number if this is known, together with the full name of the course for which they have registered.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The Deadline for application for January is 19th December 2014 and deadline for September is 28th August 2015.
