An international exhibition Belagro 2013 will be held in Belarus on 4-9 June, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
The exposition will be traditionally held at the showground of the Belarusian company OAO Gastellovskoye, Minsk District, and the Football Manege in Minsk.
The Gastellovskoye showground will display up-to-date farm machienry, latest agricultural crop and livestock selections, latest research in mechanization of agriculture, farming, potato and vegetable growing, etc. this year the expo will be extended with the Belferma section.
The second venue will feature expositions of processing companies and modern equipment of the world’s top brands. The agro-week will comprise a great amount of seminars, conferences and contests.
First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Leonid Marinich stated at the first meeting of the Belagro organizing committee on 3 April that the exhibition is of great significance for the national agrarians as a platform to demonstrate the latest achievements of the sector, learn about innovation products and technologies, share experience and search for new partners.
Belagro is one of Belarus’ largest agricultural exhibitions. More than 400 companies from 19 countries partook in it last year. The expo was attended by agricultural specialists from more than 30 countries, including the agricultural ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Ukraine, the Russian Federation, over 50,000 specialists.
