Prysiazhniuk: All branches of agriculture to get state support in 2013-2014

The comprehensive settlement of a number of issues in the agricultural sector is envisaged in Ukraine's economic development stimulation program for 2013-2014, so all branches of the agricultural sector will receive state support, the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has quoted Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk as saying.

"The document envisages a set of measures that will be aimed at improving leasing programs, introducing
innovative technologies in the crop sector, forming raw material zones for infant food production, constructing and reconstructing livestock facilities, increasing agricultural exports to $22 billion per year, producing bioethanol and implementing financial and commodity interventions of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine," Prysiazhniuk said.

He also said that the main task for the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry and the government is supporting and stimulating the servicing and production of agricultural cooperatives and commercial production in households.
