Rural Urban Shines On Agriculture

A big night for a couple of agricultural business owners and a top 4-H achiever as the Rural Urban awards were handed out last night.
Barry Kearney’s company Kearney Planters developed a device to prevent the problem of pesticides forming clouds when corn and soybeans are planted.
“We achieved what we set out to achieve, is it going to be enough, we don’t know,” he says. “We were asked to get it out of the air which we achieved quite well.”
The operation of a mixed farm and integrated food store combination, along with years of involvement with farm groups earning Louis and Clara Roesch the title of Agriculturist of the Year while Sarah Campbell is 4-H member of the year.
