KPK, Iran to boost trade relations

PESHAWAR - The Governor General Fars, Islamic Republic of Iran Hussein Sadek Abedien has said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Iran through bilateral cooperation in the field of education, health, banking, agriculture, industries , oil and gas and livestock can move forward, because long-standing relationship of Pak-Iran based on fraternity, Islamic traditions and culture that need further improvement in the light of present regional situation.

This, he said, while addressing the meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Cabinet Room of Civil Secretariat, Peshawar which was also attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Transport Mian Iftikhar Hussain, President of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Muhammad Yousaf Sarwar, Senator Ilyas Bilour, members of Iran delegation, representatives of chamber and officers of the concerned departments.

Governor General Fars, termed the visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa very useful and said that Iran delegates comprising on members related to aforesaid sectors, therefore, KPK CCI should discuss matters of mutual interests with each other so that discussions could move ahead towards reality.

He said, that he will request the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to start flights and banking services between Iran and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to facilitate the people of both the regions.

Mehrzad Kherad, DG Jehad agriculture organization, Dr. M Hadi Imanieh, Chancellor Sheraz University of Medical Science and Health Services and Peredioun Forghani President Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture Shiraz underlined the need for cooperation in health sector, exchange of knowledge in the field of agriculture, livestock, fisheries and power and maintained that Fars and Shiraz provinces of Iran having great potential in such fields.

so by promoting trade both the people benefits.

Later on, representatives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including Senator Ilyas Bilour and Ghulam Sarwar Mohmand asked for Iranian investment in the proposed oil refinery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
